Welcome to Bon Temps: A New Orleans suburb that revolves around the local bar patronized by God-fearing townsfolk, shapeshifters and vampires. Their immediate, forbidden connection is obvious from the start, and the episode tees up the rest of the show: mortals and supernatural are pitted against each other, fighting against primal desires.
Tara then stays at Maryann's temporary home for about a month, and while there she becomes closer with Eggs , a fact that has Maryann fascinated. Eventually, Tara finds out more about Eggs' past as a criminal and he makes it clear that he is interested in her. Little by little Tara starts to fall in love with him, not aware that Maryann was using Eggs as a way to keep her near, while at the same time channeling the energy they created together. Maryann has no success trying to kill Sookie so the offer stands.
