Plasma vertical black strip

Hello, Just wanted some help or advice if possible. We were watching it on Friday when a 3 inch black vertical line appeared roughly about inches from the left side of the screen. Is this repairable or scrap?? Thanks for and help given.

The other day my tv above has just received a small thin black line at the top of it going from 1 side to the other. I've searched a bit on Google and noticed that other brands of TV have had this issue aswell. I've tried switching the TV off from the mains, resetting the TV settings etc.
